Eligibility
Any current member of an AKR affiliated kyudojo is welcome to join our taikai! Please register using this event link.
Taikai Format
- Each archer will shoot 8 arrows, 4 at a time.
- There will be at least 3 shajō for 3-person tachi
- Ties will be settled with first izume and then enkin, as needed for each division
- Results of the taikai will be sent to the taikai committee for consideration for the AKR national team at the World Championships in 2028.
Awards
Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each division.
Clothing
Participants should wear kyudo-gi and hakama with white tabi. Those new to kyudo who may not yet have a uniform, are also welcome to attend. Those in wafuku will enter with tasuki on (for women) or sleeves removed (for men).
Kaijō Setup
The MNKR must setup their dojo for each and every practice. We will arrive between 10 and 10:30am with the equipment to setup the shajō. Any and all help to carry materials into the gym space and help setup is appreciated. Many hands make light work!

This is an MNKR Taikai, but does not qualify as an ANKF/IKYF Taikai for shinsa applications.
